Lwandiso Njara

Lwandiso Njara work around various themes like human existence within technocratic social orders, and his own spiritual journey through Christianity and ancestral rituals.

One of his proudest accomplishments is the Pretoria Portland Cement (PPC) Young Sculptor Competition; he won the runner up award in 2009.

He has shown his work in the previous winners exhibition of the PPC at the Pretoria Art Association. He exhibited in Pretoria at Trent Art Gallery with Joel Tsepho Sebothoma in 2011 and partook in the group show featuring the works of Diane Victor, Jan van der Merwe at the Ron Belling Art Gallery in Port Elizabeth in 2012. Partook in the Art South Africa contemporary art auction/group exhibition in Cape Town in 2012, and he also exhibited at the Pretoria Arts Association with Malose Pete in 2012. 

 Lwandiso Njara was born in 1987, Libode, Eastern Cape. He obtained his Matric certificate in Port Elizabeth College, his National Diploma at Tshwane University of Technology, and he completed his B-tech (2012) in Fine Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology
