This artwork explores my emotional experience after a music competition that did not went as well as I had hoped. The birds represent freedom, yet they are trapped by the red threads, symbolising how I felt unable to free myself from the disappointment and memory of the performance. The sound vibrations represent the piece of music I performed and, specifically, the moment where I made a significant mistake. The work reflects how one moment in a performance can become much heavier in our minds than it really is, and how difficult it can be to let go of a mistake and move forward.
