The Journey of Adventures

I was excited when I heard the theme, “The Built Environment,” as I immediately had an idea of how I wanted my jewellery piece to look.
I visited New Zealand during the December holidays, where I was inspired by one of my favourite trilogies, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. My earrings feature the well-known doors of the Shire, inspired by the doors of Hobbit holes. On the reverse side, the design mimics a pearl, allowing the earrings to be worn in two different ways.
These earrings are very special to me because they combine my love of these stories with memories of my time in New Zealand, while also creating a piece of jewellery that is versatile and wearable.
