​In this work, the iconic melancholia of Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes Pierrot is subjected to an alchemical autopsy. Built from salvaged porcelain and bound by the cold geometry of vintage dressmaking blueprints, the figure stands as a monument to the constructed self. The text tracing the skin—stamped with instructions for measurement and placement—reduces the human form to a clinical manufacturing site, mapping out the architecture of a fractured psyche.

​Swallowed by a tempest of dusty blue lace and crowned with an erratic explosion of wire filaments, A Lad Insane resides in the claustrophobic purgatory between performance and preservation. It is a silent mime trapped under the glass of its own mythos, peering out from bottomless, hollowed eye sockets—a specimen of an artist consumed by the very patterns that created him.
