Wing Man (4 canvas series)

The topic given revolved around 'rituals'. After considering every option, I decided I'd rather do something that was most likely never been done before or thought of when thinking about rituals even though ritual is in the name; bird mating rituals. I've always considered these acts as incredibly interesting and intricate, from their songs to their dances. The species I've chosen is referred to as the Blue Manakin, also known as the only bird species where the males actively help each other in impressing potential mates. This is how young males learn from older males; they all participate in a 'dance' where they all stand on a single branch and jump over each other while the female watches. I wanted to teach as many people as I could about this complicated dance of the Blue Manakin.
