Vroom vroom

Sarah Richards' artist statement for the exhibition Rooftop VII - ' The Inner child':

"I love watching children plan and engage with their toys and fantasies. Perhaps it is because I feel that as an adult I am not so different, only my toys are sometimes better disguised. The fantasy of the fairy princess child who sees herself as beautiful and magical is no different to the adult who is dressed up to entice and attract her 'price'. The pushing around of a large truck by a young boy with energy and enjoyment is similar to the wild farmer bumping along the dusty roads in his bakkie."
