Artist Statement 

Tebogo Qhingana’ works revolves around interrogating the extent of the vulnerability in children. His investigations into this subject are site specific, as he highlights a number of locations within the Johannesburg area 

Qhingana’s presentations and staging of these children within these locations draws one’s attention to a multitude of socio-economic challenges facing many communities. His subversion of politicians themes present an apt example of the many challenges facing the inhabitants of this city. 

He uses acrylics and oil paint for glazing.
