Twigs And Tales

The dendrite agate stone with its delicate markings, is often referred to as tree agate, because of the branch-like inclusions. It reminds me of a tiny abstract drawing, the intricate detail of a personal narrative or family tale which gets slightly altered every time it gets told over time, until it’s forgotten. The silver bands around it are like these additions to the story. like ripples on water, spreading out slowly and eventually fading away.
