The Hare At Full Moon

The simplicity of the monochromatic use of colour against the flat black background, adds to the stillness of the composition. To portray a hare, which is only lit by moon light, will most probably be the result of a silhouette. This portrait is a silhouette in reverse. The natural patternmaking of flowing ink reminds one of the mysterious textures of the moon’s surface and is used as a reflection onto the hare.
