Anointed explores the idea of being chosen and called by God, inspired by the life of Joan of Arc, who believed she was divinely called to lead and protect her people. The woman is portrayed as a warrior, with her armour and sword symbolising courage, strength, protection, and her willingness to stand for what she believed was right. The golden light flowing from above represents God’s anointing and divine calling, while the gold symbolises holiness, power, and divine presence. The fire in the background represents the trials and battles she faced, as well as the sacrifice and suffering that came with her calling. Through the artwork, I wanted to show that being chosen does not mean having an easy path but having the faith and strength to follow the purpose you believe God has placed before you.
