I decided to paint a white rhino . Rhino poaching remains a critical threat to the species, with 516 rhinos killed in

Africa in 2024 alone. South Africa remains the epicentre, accounting for over 80% of these incidents, driven by

high demand for rhino horn in traditional Asian medicine.

Conservation efforts now include dehorning rhinos, which is truly sad. I was privileged to photograph a hornless

rhino in Kruger National Park, and while he was majestic without horns, I painted him and added his horns. Then

And now, Rhino’s are still critically endangered.
