In the seventies I was a little girl staring at  The Ziggy Stardust LP cover my elder sister had, a little scared of the weird man...
Later I would experience coming around a bend in Gent, Belgium, on my bicycle, to the soundtrack of Bowie, where a couple of plumbers where working on a drainage system,  working happily on the beat of Let's Dance. And that is exactly how Bowie was part of everyday life for a lot of fans. 
My artwork refers to a shiny seventies star, a bikini top I got at the Hospice Shop, "stardust", his mouth and eyes accentuated by beams of psychedelic colors, a hint of sadness on his lips...
I used what I had.
