My artwork, titled One of Many, is inspired by Winnie Mandela and the many other women who played in the struggle against apartheid. I chose Winnie Mandela because she was a strong and courageous woman who stood up against injustice. She faced many challenges and sacrifices but continued to fight for freedom and equality.

The title One of Many shows that Winnie Mandela was not the only woman who fought for change. She was one of many women who stood against apartheid and worked towards a better South Africa. Many women played an important role in the struggle, even though their stories are sometimes forgotten or not given enough attention. My artwork aims to recognize these women and celebrate their strength and bravery.

Through One of Many, I want to show that one person can make a difference, but real change happens when people stand together. Winnie Mandela represents the strength of women who refused to remain silent. My artwork is  therefore a reminder that we should respect the sacrifices of women in the past and continue working towards equality and justice for women today.
