ARTIST STATEMENT

The figure emerges through layered colour, unfinished edges and visible marks, suggesting a self that is still in formation. The jewellery becomes an aspiration towards the self she longs to inhabit.

Much of the jewellery set feels uniform and controlled, yet its whimsical elements resist complete order. These subtle interruptions give the work its charm, suggesting that who we become is found not in perceived perfection, but in the details that quietly break away from it.
