ARTIST STATEMENT
As a multi-dimensional artist working primarily in glass, my creativity sprouts from a personal sense of disconnection from the place that has shaped me. This inner void within has deepened through travel and exposure to diverse cultures across the world. This distance from my heritage and my younger self fuels my creative expression, driving me to transform memories, objects, and cultural references into works that speak of resilience and continuity.
The more I sought a sense of belonging through patterns and textures associated with my cultural background, the more I silenced my inner voice and buried the seed God planted within me during my early years. This journey has inspired me to merge ancestral narratives, textures and motifs to create works that express emotion while embodying both tradition and innovation.
