ARTIST STATEMENT

I was drawn to the understated simplicity of the handmade silver bangle: a simple single band that is completely transformed by one delicate wildflower, giving it a sense of individuality and quiet presence.

In my interpretation, the form becomes a contemporary bird's nest. Fine copper lines gather and overlap; gentle and delicate, together they carry visual weight. The work considers how presence does not need to be loud or imposing.
