The artwork explores human personal
and emotional being, yet it is seen through the traits of the biological father
versus the father figure that is revealed. They capture human emotions through
the representation of the face with its infinite expressions. We can be
overwhelmed by so many emotions all at once and then not know how to feel
anymore. Hence, we often question whether the face we see in the mirror is ours
and from where our thoughts come. The exploration of the concealed faces and I
use them to convey my message. Furthermore, viewing the different soil, glass
blown faces and the sewing stitched strings, are geometrically creating a face which
can be compared to looking inside yourself. A physicalist compels me to explore
the portrayed artwork. This fusion is often seen in the fused and blown glass.
I share physical, emotional aspects and engage in intimate conversations
whereby human emotions are expressed, to help portray everyone’s story.
