Animalisation, Objectification, Sexualisation and Fragmentation. All aspects we see in our daily lives, through social media, advertising, print and digital media, in my work I explore these issues. By looking at the animalisation of woman and the sexualisation of animals, in my work I specifically look at the meat industry. Exploring different aspects and angles of carcasses I attempt to show them in a different light, to show them in a way that is beautiful and delicate.

I want to connect the carcass to woman through the use of colours and textures instead of directly and obviously showcasing them together. I attempt to create the essence of the female presence within my work. In other ways I do explore it more directly, linking the female body to the branding of "a piece of meat". Fragmenting all these images I look into physical print media such as pornographic magazines and imagery, not showing the full context of these bodies but only showing the "most desired parts" of their bodies.

These issues are explored academically but is not looked at as much withing the artworld bringing that into the art world it expands the discussion of them within the same space instead of looking at them individually.
