Artist Statement

My work is best known as paintings in a realistic, impressionistic style. My paintings depict landscapes in multi-layers of transparent paint of colour, and textures that come from the natural world. The beauty of nature influenced my work in capturing a bit of joy in our day to day lives.

My paintings also explore nature as an everyday moment that we usually dismiss, yet it is these moments that create memories and good times that is most missed when confronted with hardship. In a world dominated by consumerism and a busy rush, my paintings are to bring joy and make us pause to appreciate the beauty around us.
