Like A Patient Etherised Upon A Table

Like a patient etherised upon a table

The artwork emphasise myself in a vulnerable state and although I have had this specific test demonstrated in the image, electroencephalogram (EEG), for hours on end for the past two years, it still has an effect on me. An EEG is a non-invasive test used to measure the electrical activity of the brain. While the procedure itself is generally considered safe and painless, it can be traumatic for some individuals due to various factors. The level of trauma or discomfort experienced can vary depending on personal experiences, psychological factors, and the context in which the EEG is performed. The underlying health concerns and the implications of the results can add to the emotional burden. Being connected to electrodes and observed makes me feel vulnerable and self-conscious. This feeling of exposure contributes to the emotional distress associated with the procedure.
