In the collagraph series ‘ecothinking’, Kai Lossgott takes direct impressions from the bodies of unwanted human-made objects commonly found discarded in streets all over the world.
The red trail of time or sustained attention makes reference to trajectories within the living systems of the planet, and the truant destinies designed for ‘things’ made entirely for use and abandonment.
One may discard ‘waste’, but in ecology there is no “away”. Everything is close, and everything returns via such trajectories, especially into our own human bodies.
