Garden of Eden reflects on childhood as humanity's first protected passage through the tunnel of life. Inspired by personal memory, the artwork revisits a time when innocence existed before exposure to the complexities, responsibilities, and uncertainties of adulthood. Set within a symbolic garden, the composition references the biblical Garden of Eden as a place of purity, possibility, and unbroken wonder. The child, rendered with golden skin, represents humanity in its earliest state, while the bandage wrapped around the face signifies protection rather than injury. It symbolises the loving decision to shield children from realities they are not yet ready to confront, preserving their innocence until they possess the strength to understand the world for themselves. Within the framework of We Are Not Lost, the artwork recognises that every individual eventually leaves this place of innocence and enters unfamiliar territory. Yet this transition is not a fall into darkness, but an essential stage of personal growth. The work reminds viewers that uncertainty is a universal experience, and that the values, love, and protection received during childhood continue to illuminate our path long after we leave the garden behind.
