Fragments Within

This artwork explores the fragments that make up who we become — memories, dreams, experiences and places that remain within us. The wooden blocks and arches represent the building blocks I played with as a child. They symbolise the imagination and sense of possibility I had when I was young, when simple shapes could become entire worlds. The stairs represent the paths we take as we grow, while the paper boat and origami bird suggest journeys, freedom and the ability to go beyond what is familiar. Surrounded by fragments of my childhood, the figure floating in the water represents a moment of reflection. I wanted to show how the things we experience when we are young can remain within us and become part of the person we grow into.
