Estian Gericke - Melting

This sculpture portrays how it is when you are experiencing or having depression. One feels like you are being dragged into an abyss of sorrow and your insides scream but no one sees it because it is in your mind. The figure's arms are raised upwards in a pleading gesture where he asks for help. Slowly its lower body is fading away into a "puddle" of sadness.
