Sculpture portrays feet which symbolises stability, but also where your roots are in life. It can be the place where you are born and raised, religious beliefs, decisions in life etc. All these factors define what your “roots” adapt into which are the steel plates that overlap each other. The variation in the steel plates indicates how life is not perfect and that each achievement or disappointment is what makes up the end product of one’s life. The material contrast between the steel and aluminium shows that although life might start off perfect the journey forward has a lot of struggles which ultimately shapes us.
