An overtone of the 2018 Film Suspiria, which uses Ballet as a device plot, prompts the notion that those who abuse their power for personal gain than serving others is bending or misusing that power.
In ballet one can gain strength, agility, grace, and find center of balance as well as gaining control (English National Ballet, 2025). However, you can have a young man who lacks those traits, who's still trying to figure out who he is in this world; devoid of male figures in his circles to advice him. With that in mind, he's likely to farm out, and without proper guidance he could stumble against the grain and feed on wrong information he's reluctant to oppose. Furthermore, when he comes to realize there are young men like him with the same personal struggles following the same ideology, he could hoard feelings that give him a sense of belonging, and begin to adopt a sheepish mentality robs him off a sense of individuality. He finds himself following behavioural patterns that champion other people's beliefs and attitudes often at the expense of his own judgment. Many discover later on in their lives that they were preyed upon when they were in the midst of desperation and vulnerability or dancing to someone else's tune in the context that some people cannot do things in their own way, but rather tune in with other groups of people. Ballet dance serves as a metaphor to explore conforming, and a lack of independent thought. The same way a sheep is dependent on protection, care, and guidance. It knows the voice of its shepherd and follows them to be lead to pastures, and the bond is based on trust.(More To Life, 2024). like the relationship among dancers in a group or the connection between the dancer and other dance elements such as music, that when following the beat you are allowed to be in sync, which results in coordinated movements that appear second nature. This is dependent on techniques; built on principles of physical fitness, balance, coordination, and the ability to express narratives through the body (Stages School Of Dance, 2024).
