This piece was inspired by one of the figures in Henry Matisse’s painting, Dance and the romantic poem, Dance me to the end of love written by Leonard Cohen. Matisse was commissioned to do a painting in which he had to ‘summon up energy’ and yet ‘to give afeeling of lightness.’
This line figure pendant echoes the same concept.
