ARTIST STATEMENT

I was drawn to the understated simplicity of the handmade silver bangle: a simple single band that is completely transformed by one delicate wildflower, giving it a sense of individuality and quiet presence.

The overlapping pattern on the watercolour gives the delicate forms bold rhythm, presence and strength. Femininity is expressed not as weakness, but as an enduring force: tender, intricate and quietly powerful.
