“Balance” emerges from the quiet places where seasons, emotions, and energies meet. I move through life guided by the rhythms of nature — the pulse of summer heat, the whisper of winter rain, the ancient intelligence of fynbos waking under cold skies. These cycles mirror my own inner landscapes: warmth that nurtures, cold that clarifies, fire that protects, and distance that shields.
The still life becomes an altar of opposites. Warm and cool colours breathe against one another, neither dominating, both necessary. The flammable gas symbol is a sigil of duality — a reminder that what sustains can also endanger, that every gift carries a shadow, that every shadow holds a lesson.
In this work, I honour the unseen forces that shape my days: intuition, resilience, responsibility, love, and the quiet wisdom of the land. “Balance” is not a fixed point but a living dance — a way of listening, adjusting, and aligning with the deeper currents that move through all things.
