Biography
Rothea du Plessis, a South African artist, has embraced a multifaceted path in contemporary art, spanning sculpture, installation, photography, painting, and drawing. Driven by her fascination with people and their life stories, her work is expressive with a flowing style and deep curiosity about human experiences.
In 2023, Rothea completed her Bachelor of Arts through UNISA, earning the Excellence Award for third-level students. Her recent exhibitions include participation in the "Thirty" sculpture park exhibit with Open Lab and NIROX at Black Brick Bedfordview (September 2024), the "Proximity" exhibition at UNISA Art Gallery (September 2024), and "Resurface" at Johan van Heerden Gallery (February 2025).
