Since my childhood I took delight in sketching any fascinating thing I saw – to capture a single moment in time.
As a teenager, I was inspired by the old French and Dutch masters.
Renoir, Monet, Vermeer and van Gogh introduced me to artistic freedom and evoked my emotions to follow my own creative path.
Lately, I am inspired by contemporary art. Daniel Gerhartz, Samuel Cherubin, Jacob Collins and Willie Jacobs has encouraged me to become a better version of myself – to become the best artist I can be.
Workshops of Lute Vink, Elize Bezuidenhout, Sonja Frenz and Willie Jacobs have motivated me to dare – to aspire for greatness. To all aspiring artists – never stop learning and experimenting! I always try to improve on my latest “masterpiece”.
